Forum mall has received National Award for “EMPOWERMENT OF THE PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES” an award for creating barrier free environment for person with physical disability.
The mall provides access for people on wheelchair through any corner. Facilities available in the mall are
- Signages to locate facilities
- Braille signs inside lift
- Trail Rooms inside Shoppersstop
- Hi end washroom for people on wheel chairs
- Parking facility at the 3rd floor of the MLCP
The organization looks towards catering people through care. Stickers are being provided to parents coming with children so incase the child gets lost, information about parents become readily available.
On “International Day of People with Disability” we unveiled our award in the gracious presence of Mr. Masoodoor Rehman.
Mr. Masoodoor Rehman is a very well known athlete in both National & International Circle. Born in 1968 Mr. Rehman is a Swimmer. The first orthopaedically disabled swimmer from Asia and the second in the world to cross the English Channel in 1997 and 81 Km stretch in Murshidabad (West Bengal) in 1993 and 1995. Mr. Rehman, conqueror of the English Channel, became the world’s first such swimmer to cross the Strait of Gibraltar. The 32-year old Baidya, took four hours 20 minutes to emerge victorious in his battle against waves in the difficult Strait of Gibraltar.
